Step 2: Install & Adjust the Extended Arm
Prepare Threads: Apply 2-3
full wraps of plumber's tape to the threads of your shower wall arm, wrapping to the right (clockwise).
Connect Arm:
Attach the adjustable arm to the
shower wall arm and hand-tighten it clockwise. Use your wrench for the final tightening, ensuring the arm is held straight to properly align it with the wall.
Set Height: Loosen the wing nut nearest the wall, adjust the arm to your desired height and then hand tighten the wing nut. Typically positioning parallel to ground is sufficient for user height up to 6 feet tall depending on shower configuration, adjust as necessary to ensure showerhead clearance above head and ice tray can be reached for ice insertion.
Secure: Then use your wrench to fully tighten it by placing wrench on wing nut as outlined in picture below, then turn to right (counterclockwise) to fully tighten, around an additional ¼ to half turn.
Set Angle: Loosen the adjustable arm wing nut near the showerhead connection until able to adjust angle. Angle so it hangs parallel to the floor, then fully hand-tighten the wing nut
to secure the position.
