Why I Built This
Cold therapy only works if you can actually stick with it
Colder than tap water — without tubs
Standard cold tap water often isn’t cold enough, especially in warmer months.
Our system drops your shower temperature significantly using ice, bringing you into a true cold-therapy range — without tubs, chillers, or setup.
Real contrast therapy requires a rapid shift from heat to cold — not a slow fade to lukewarm.
With a simple lever flip, you can move instantly from a hot shower to real cold exposure and back again, creating meaningful contrast on demand.
Plunge tubs demand space, maintenance, and time — which is why most people stop using them.
This fits into the shower you already take, works with ice from your freezer, and removes the friction that kills consistency.
Consistency is what actually delivers results.

Why people stick with it
“Cold plunges were a sometimes thing. This made it daily.”
“Way easier than tubs. Simple setup, no cleanup — just use it.”
“The hot-to-cold switch is the whole difference. I actually stick with it.”
Standard cold tap water often isn’t cold enough to reach effective cold exposure — especially in warmer climates or summer months.
Our system lowers your shower temperature by approximately 15–20°F, depending on starting water temperature, using just ice — bringing water into the 39–59°F cold therapy range, without tubs, chillers, or hassle.
Effective contrast therapy depends on a rapid, meaningful temperature shift between heat and cold — not a gradual or lukewarm change.
With a simple lever flip, you can move instantly from a hot shower into true cold exposure, creating the 40–50°F contrast range commonly associated with contrast therapy — and switch back just as fast.
No tubs. No chillers. Just real contrast, on demand.
Plunge tubs require space, maintenance, and expensive chillers — or constant ice dumping.
We designed a cold therapy solution that fits into the shower you already use and works with ice from your freezer.
No setup. No cleanup. Just consistency — which is what actually delivers results over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
The system uses a refillable tray that holds up to 2 lbs of ice. As water flows through the showerhead, it passes across the ice, lowering the temperature of your standard cold water.
An integrated diverter lets you instantly switch between hot water and boosted cold, making contrast therapy easy during your normal shower — no tubs, chillers, or cleanup.
Cold droplets from a traditional rainfall shower can feel sharp and jarring, especially during cold exposure.
This system delivers chilled water through a smooth, waterfall-style flow, creating a more controlled and even experience. Many people find this feels less shocking and easier to stick with — which matters, because cold therapy only works if you can do it consistently.
Cooling depends on your starting tap water temperature.
As a general guide:
- Warmer tap water (≈70–75°F):
Up to ~20°F reduction, typically using about 2 lbs of ice for a 1–2 minute cold finish. - Cooler tap water (≈60–65°F):
Around ~15°F reduction, often requiring less ice for the same 1–2 minute finish.
These are approximate ranges, not exact formulas. Actual results vary based on starting water temperature, flow rate, ice size, and personal preference.
The ice tray is designed to comfortably hold about 2 lbs of ice. It can physically accommodate slightly more ice if overfilled, but most users find around 2 lbs ideal for short, controlled cold exposure.
Cold plunge tubs deliver immediate, extreme cold. This system is designed for controlled cold exposure that fits into a daily routine.
By starting warm and switching to cold, most people find the experience more manageable — and easier to repeat consistently.
Cold exposure is commonly associated with increased alertness, improved circulation, enhanced mood, stress tolerance, and recovery support when practiced safely and consistently.
Many people find the biggest benefit comes from making cold exposure something they actually stick with.
Not necessarily.
Many experts emphasize that cold exposure is most effective when it’s controlled, repeatable, and sustainable. While extreme cold plunges are often used for short-term recovery after intense events, most people benefit more from a consistent cold practice that fits into daily life.
For many people, cold exposure is commonly practiced daily when done in short, controlled intervals.
We recommend starting with 30–60 seconds and gradually increasing as your body adapts. Always listen to your body and consult a medical professional if you have any health concerns.
(See the Medical Disclaimer at the bottom of this page for details.)
Cold exposure may not be appropriate for everyone. If you have a cardiovascular condition, circulation issues, are pregnant, or have any medical concerns, you should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning cold exposure.
Always start conservatively, keep exposure short, and discontinue use if you feel lightheaded, dizzy, or unwell.
